Comic Relief game wins 72% of votes
|
Inbox Digital has emerged as the clear overall winner of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2005 Viral Challenge.
Our Speedy Relief game - www.speedyrelief.com, which involved players guiding a trail of noses around a race track, took a whopping 65% of the 33,000 votes cast on rednoseday.com in the run-up to the TV event on 11 March.
Virals were placed on Comic Relief’s office website as well as on Lycos Viral and Bore Me. Speedy Relief was also featured in many online forums.

We received 65% of the votes of all five virals (three games and two movies), but we also whooped the butt of Victoria Real and Fish in a Bottle by taking 72% of the game votes. All five entries received three million downloads altogether, with Speedy Relief racking up 22 million game plays.
Oli Christie, Creative Director of Inbox Digital says, "We’re pleased as punch to have won this award and can’t wait until the awards, because for the first time, we know that we can go to an awards show and know we’ve already won something. We’re going to be insufferable."
